AIA Convention & Honor Awards 2017
The central theme of the 2017 Annual Convention is Habana - San Juan, San Juan - Habana: a retrospective of the Cuban modernism of the 50’s and how it contributed in Puerto Rico with the arrival of Cuban architects and artists. It will give a look at the urbanism of Habana and San Juan reflecting on what the Puerto Rican architects can do, to contribute in the architectural future of Cuba.

Also this year the Honor Awards will be held at the closing of the Convention on October 21st. We are counting on our special guests - the jury - who are architects of international renown, to reward the best work of the members of the AIA Puerto Rico.
​
Besides that, for 3rd consecutive year, the AIA Puerto Rico Architecture Career Day.
Giving advice about: design and construction, introductory workshops for high school students, demonstrations of technological tools available to make architecture, lectures given by representatives of the Schools of Architecture in Puerto Rico and an exhibition area.
