Andrés Mignucci receives 2019 Distinguished Professor Award by the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture / ACSA

The Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture / ACSA has announced that Puerto Rican architect, urbanist, and educator Andrés Mignucci of the University of Puerto Rico, is one of this year’s Distinguished Professor Award laureates.
Each year, ACSA honors architectural educators for exemplary work in areas such as teaching, building design, community collaborations, scholarship, and service. Award winners inspire and challenge students, contribute to the profession’s knowledge base, and extend their work beyond the borders of academy into practice and the public sector.
Andrés Mignucci joins Thomas Barrie of North Carolina State University, Thomas Fischer of the University of Minnesota, Patricia Oliver of the University of Houston, Stephen Schreiber of the University of Massachusetts Amherst as 2019 Distinguished Professors, and Toshiko Mori, former Chair of Harvard‘s Graduate School of Design as Topaz Medallion Laureate.
The award ceremony will take place on March 29 during ACSA’s Annual Meeting in Pittsburgh. As one of the 2019 ACSA Distinguished Professor recipients, Mignucci will join a group of notable educators - The College of Distinguished Professors, one of the highest honors the ACSA can bestow upon an educator.
